Welcome to my website. With a DJ career dating back to 1975, I offer a comprehensive selection of videos and photos showcasing events, venues, and clubs that I have worked at. For inquiries regarding pricing for your event, please use our request a quote form.

In addition to house, my repertoire spans all open-format music, ensuring versatility and adaptability for any event. My selections include classic old-school R&B, timeless old-school hip hop, and the latest top 40 hits, allowing me to cater to a wide range of musical preferences and create memorable experiences for every crowd.

My DJ Background
At the age of 15, I began my journey in music by purchasing records and collaborating with my first DJ partner, Dion Session, also known as DJ Captain Quik or DJ Zimi Zulu. Utilizing his father’s turntables, he started working as a mobile DJ, initially drawn to Funk, R&B, and Disco. During the early 1970s, DJ SKIPP was an accomplished young drummer performing with musicians on Long Island, but eventually transitioned to focus primarily on DJing. Like other aspiring DJs in Strong Island, New York, he learned from renowned figures such as DJ Pleasure, DJ Nelson PR, and DJ Willie D.
In the late 1970s, as disco declined in popularity, my peers and I shifted to spinning breakbeat records, often accompanied by groups of rappers—now known as MCs. With the rise of hip-hop in New York during the early 1980s, they established their own DJ Crew, aptly named "The Untouchable Krew" in 1980, intentionally spelling 'Crew' with a 'K.'
Between 1981 and 1986, while attending Morgan State University, I organized events alongside fellow DJs, earning significant recognition on campus. Upon his return to Long Island in 1986, I performed at prominent nightclubs for the leading promoter of the era, Tony Moore. Venues such as King of Hearts, Lemaron, and Essence hosted my DJ skills throughout eight years, marking a successful chapter in my career.

Vinyl records and digital media offer noticeably different listening experiences. Vinyl is often described as having a warmer, fuller, and more natural sound, partly because of the analog playback process and the subtle characteristics introduced by the record, turntable, cartridge, and preamp. You may hear gentle surface noise, pops, and imperfections, but many listeners feel these qualities add character and create a more authentic connection to the music. Digital media generally provides cleaner, more precise playback, with very low noise, greater dynamic range in many formats, and consistent sound that does not physically wear with repeated plays. While high-quality digital audio can reproduce music with exceptional accuracy, vinyl has a distinctive analog character that makes classics—especially soul, funk, R&B, disco, and old-school hip-hop—feel rich, nostalgic, and alive, which is part of what makes an all-vinyl DJ experience so special.

I focus on advanced technical manipulation, dynamic energy, and narrative development. The genre has its roots in street culture and has progressed through methods such as scratching, beat-juggling, and swift mixing. Principal styles include classic turntable techniques.
I focus on creating continuous, rhythmic, and hypnotic sets, blending tracks seamlessly to build energy for the crowd to continuous dancing
My music blends a range of styles—including pop, hip-hop, rock, and dance—to appeal to different listeners and is frequently played at venues like clubs or weddings.
This style is distinguished by its incorporation of polyrhythms, call-and-response patterns, and distinctive percussion such as the cinquillo rhythm. Contemporary Afro-Caribbean ensembles often utilize "riddims," which are instrumental tracks designed for repeated use.
