Welcome to my website. With a DJ career dating back to 1975, I offer a comprehensive selection of videos and photos showcasing events, venues, and clubs that I have worked at. For inquiries regarding pricing for your event, please use our request a quote form.

Musical Specialization

I specialize in spinning house music, delivering vibrant and energetic sets that keep audiences engaged. In addition to house, my repertoire spans all open-format music, ensuring versatility and adaptability for any event. My selections include classic old-school R&B, timeless old-school hip hop, and the latest top 40 hits, allowing me to cater to a wide range of musical preferences and create memorable experiences for every crowd.

My DJ Background

At the age of 15, I began my journey in music by purchasing records and collaborating with my first DJ partner, Dion Session, also known as DJ Captain Quik or DJ Zimi Zulu. Utilizing his father’s turntables, he started working as a mobile DJ, initially drawn to Funk, R&B, and Disco. During the early 1970s, DJ SKIPP was an accomplished young drummer performing with musicians on Long Island, but eventually transitioned to focus primarily on DJing. Like other aspiring DJs in Strong Island, New York, he learned from renowned figures such as DJ Pleasure, DJ Nelson PR, and DJ Willie D.

In the late 1970s, as disco declined in popularity, my peers and I shifted to spinning breakbeat records, often accompanied by groups of rappers—now known as MCs. With the rise of hip-hop in New York during the early 1980s, they established their own DJ Crew, aptly named "The Untouchable Krew" in 1980, intentionally spelling 'Crew' with a 'K.'

Between 1981 and 1986, while attending Morgan State University, I organized events alongside fellow DJs, earning significant recognition on campus. Upon his return to Long Island in 1986, I performed at prominent nightclubs for the leading promoter of the era, Tony Moore. Venues such as King of Hearts, Lemaron, and Essence hosted my DJ skills throughout eight years, marking a successful chapter in my career.
